In order to arrive at a thorough understanding of the physical
relationships and to evolve and identify points of approach for
possible improvements, a simulation program was developed that
describes the individual components, their performance, and their
dynamic interaction. This program was verified on the basis of
experimental measurement results, and its accuracy was checked.
Today, it is a development tool that takes all effects known so far
into account, and with the aid of which, the thermodynamic behavior
of large-scale plants under given meteorological conditions can be
calculated in advance.
